Oaxaca Net Hammock
From Oaxaca, Mexico, where net hammocks are tied knot by knot over days of patient work. The open net weave breathes like nothing else — on a hot afternoon it is the coolest place on earth — and it stretches to swaddle you completely. Feather-light, surprisingly strong, and endlessly packable. Sourced through NOVICA's artisan network, so the hands that tied it are paid fairly for every knot.
Pre-order — first batch
This is a first-batch pre-order, made for us by NOVICA Mexico Artisans. Ships late November – December 2026. This batch is capped at 30 units so every order is spoken for before work begins. If your order ever runs more than 14 days past its stated ship window, you may cancel for a full refund — no questions, no restocking fees. We will email you when your order is woven, when it lands in Nanoose Bay, and when it ships to you.
Care & quality notes
Hand-loomed cotton softens with every use and will mould gently to your body. Hand-wash cold or soak and rinse, then hang to dry in the shade. On the BC coast, bring cotton hammocks in for the winter and store them bone-dry indoors — treated right, a handwoven hammock like this is a decade-plus piece, not a season. Every unit is sample-checked for weave tension, clew strength and finish before it ships from Nanoose Bay.
